Have you ever thought about what a gift and phenomenon an airport is? I know that sounds weird but stick with me. An airport is where people from all over the world come together. Where different cultures are intertwined and intermingling together. Where people from all different stages of life converge. You never know why someone is at the airport. They might be moving, going on vacation, visiting family, going for celebration, or grieving. The airport is a surprisingly beautiful melting pot. What an opportunity for ministry the airport is! No matter where you go people need the love of Jesus. Every tribe and tongue needs to hear.

While I was at the airport headed home from Eswatini, I was met by a beautiful God moment. My friends and I were in the line for security and to pass the time we were praising the Lord. People all around heard the worship songs being sung. One couple in particular heard us and asked about it. This question struck up a conversation. We shared about worship, about background of the song we were singing, and about how meaningful it is to praise the living God. And in return, the couple shared their story with us. They were originally from England but have lived in South Africa for many years. They shared their hymns they grew up on. Together we had a whole worship session with these complete strangers/fellow brother and sister in Christ. It was so breath-taking! What a reminder that God is found everywhere even in a place as boring and unglamorous as the security line at the airport. God is moving at all times, in all places, through all cultures. How incredible to meet people in their daily lives and share with them love of Jesus Christ. Even as we wait at the airport.
